Sandy Cove 2 History
The Sandy Cove 2 Condominiums were designed and built in the early 1970’s by noted Sarasota architect and developer, Frank Folsom Smith. The original property, previously owned by the family of the Buster Brown Shoe Company, extended from Big Pass shoreline to Ocean Boulevard. The developers subdivided the original parcel with boundaries for 4 separate condominium associations, and provided for designated shared “common ground” along the Big Pass shoreline.
Sandy Cove 2 Condominium Association
The SC2 Association has 26 condominium units and owners. The association is managed and operated by an elected Board of Directors, typically 4-6 in number, each being an SC2 volunteer owner. The SC2 Board monitors and manages budget, finances, maintenance, condo documents including the rules and regulations, and the State of Florida statutes and legal requirements. The term of office for a director is one year, with changes or renewals occurring at the annual meeting held in March or April of each year.

Sandy Cove 2 Shoreline Privileges
The SC2 owners (or surrogate renters) are entitled to share in the use of the pier, the sea pool, the sea wall, the shell beach, and the Pass Key clubhouse. Good stewardship and respectful usage of the shoreline amenities is expected and appreciated by the owners!
